ARCHITECTURE OF THE 19th CENTUR EIFFEL TOWER

The Eiffel Tower was constructed by Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1889 that was commemorating the first centenary of the French Revolution. His construction lasted 2 years, 2 months and 5 days and was an authentic technical and architectural prowess, technological exploit, at the end of the 19th century it was the demonstration of the French ingenuity, a culminating point of the industrial age. Symbol of France in the world, balcony of Paris, at present possesses almost 7 million visitors a year, which turns him into the monument of payment most visited of the world.
